Palm Sunday is Coney Island’s traditional opening day and some visitors came directly from church with palm fronds in hand to the Blessing of the Rides. And then we spotted these beautiful palm bouquets! Next Sunday, expect to see folks in Easter bonnets and their Sunday best.

As a die-hard Brooklyn ex-pat … I have finally found a kindred spirit in your posts. Thanks. Coney Island was my childhood haunt, the place I loved to ride my bike from the path along Shore Parkway. In the days when the path was a mess and we could ride the Boardwalk any time of day or night :)
Thanks. Have you written any memoirs of you childhood ramblings? would love to read
All but two of my current drafts are set in different neighborhoods in Brooklyn and I write many posts about my childhood there. You can find posts on Brooklyn in my “City Scapes,” or snippets of stories from where I grew up in “Sunset Park.” My blog is:

Thanks for asking :)
This is unrelated to palm sunday but I’ve been out of town for a while and i saw a post you made on a new cyclone entrance. I was wondering if it was possible to post pictures of the finished product. Thanks
The Cyclone’s new ticket offices were open but construction is still underway. Did not have a chance to post my photos yet from Opening Day
