Street Art by RAE in Coney Island. April 16, 2011

On an April evening, this fantastic piece of street art by RAE popped up across the street from the Cyclone. When we went back the next day it was gone. Keep an eye out for more work by RAE and friends this summer in Coney Island!

Photo of the Day: First Ride of the Season on Coney Island’s Cyclone!

Riding in the first car on the very first roller coaster ride of Coney Island’s 2010 season, Miss Cyclone Angie Pontani and Community Board 13 Member Todd Dobrin put their hands up and cheer! American Coaster Enthusiasts members and Cyclone fans Colleen Whyte and Bill Galvin are right behind them. Whyte and Galvin have ridden the Cyclone thousands of times and never miss an opening day. Definitely our fave photo from ATZ contributor and Coney Island resident Bruce Handy’s flickr set of Coney Island’s Opening Day of the 2010 Season. Hurray!
