On Saturday, we joined “Hands Across the Sand” on Coney Island’s Beach. The June 26th event was part of a worldwide protest against offshore drilling. The line in the sand included people who had come to Coney Island specifically for the noontime protest as well as beach-goers who spontaneously joined the event.
